Odd Commercial
Please watch the video, so you know what I am talking about. If you are anything like me, the commercial made you raise a brow. When I first saw this commercial, I didn't know what to think besides 'WTF' (Do I need to tell you what that means?). This is an odd commercial that is trying to sell people the Honda Scooters. I don't think anyone rides them anymore, or at least I haven't seen any. Grace Jones (Woman) is trying to get Adam Ant (Man) to get the scooter. She says its sexy, stylish, and fast. Adam is skeptical at first, not sure if the scooter is for him, but in the end Grace, talks him into buying the scooter. I have seen several commercials and alot make me go "WTF' but I believe its just a way of the company to get you interested in their product, so they make a odd, funny, or perhaps a heartwarming commercial, so you either get the product or at least think about getting it. But one other thing that did get my attention was the way Grace Jones looked like. She had short upright hair, thick make up on, faces she made, and the way she talked to Adam, I thought this was intresting because not of commercials if any have a woman dressed or looks like that any more, besides Lady Gaga, whom I don't think has done commercials. But this commercial was in the 1980's I believe and they used all kinds of actors, actresses, and singers to sell their products, the commercial above is a good example.
Bad Things Shown On Media

I know you can't really see the picture, but I will tell you what it is. This is a news paper article about the capture of Ed Gien. This is bad thing shown in media. What I mean by bad is that, its bad news, but seems to grab alot of attention, and many people seem to remember things that are bad that happened, instead of the good. For example, we all remember 9/11 but we don't remember a man, saving a family from a burning house, or maybe its just me. But what I do know, is that if there is bad news, tragic or scary, it will be shown on the front page, first thing in the news on tv, or can be seen on the internet, which ever you can get your news. But alot of times, they news will have a 'warm fuzzy' story; at the end, something such as puppies being adopted or a little kids beating cancer. But none of those things seem to stick to the human mind. We might think that its a good thing, but we usually focus on the bad, because the media have 'brainwashed' us to take more interest in the bad, and make us think about it. Before there was major issues in the world, perhaps before WWI and WWII or perhaps after, there wasn't to much going on, besides politcal, and alot of people didn't put much care in it. But now days we have politcal disasters, such as the shooting of the Senator, in Arizona. We have natural disasters such as Katrina, Haiti, and the earthquakes and tsumai in Japan. As I said several times before, we seemed more focused on the bad things, because we want to know more for it.
People Who Ruined Media For Me -Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber-

I can't stand these two people, they have ruined music for me mostly and movies as well.I will start with Justin Bieber. I didn't like him or his singing when I first heard of him. I can't explain why, he sounds like a girl when he sings, which gets under my skin. Plus I believe he's trying to be a one man boy band. But thats just me. Plus he seems more of a girl than a guy, he looks like one, with his femine features and he sounds like one when he talks and sings. I have met people that seem more of girl, then a guy, but I get along with them greatly. So I can't truly explain why I can't stand Justin, besides the reasons I have gave you now.
The next person would have to be Miley Cyrus. I admit I used to like her, before the fame got to her. She was a great singer and actress. But then the fame seemed to get into her head, and she started to misbehave like several people her age, that is a celebrity. Her first issue was that she posed for sensual pictures at a young age. Her father was upset at her, but then he did nothing about it. That fisaco lasted for while, and it died down. But then more issues came along, such as her making an asian face and taking pictures of herself in a sexy way. I knew she was growing up like alot of girls, but it really pissed me off, that she needed to think she had to do that, to show she was growing up. But ever since then, I could no longer stand her, she is a foolish girl and needs to act her age, which would 17, instead of a 21 and above and think there is nothing wrong with that.
Favorite Actors -Johnny Depp and Robert Downy Jr-

My favorite actors would have to be Robert Downey Jr or RDJ and Johnny Depp. I have watched the several movies they have starred in. My first movie I saw RDJ was 'Weird Science' but he wasn't a main character, he was a secondary person who played the mean jock. I didn't think much of him at first, but since I began to understand movies, I saw he was a great actor and put alot of talent and effort into his job, which makes him alot of money and fans. Another movie I saw him in was called 'Fur' When I first heard of this movie, I wasn't sure how to understand it. Why make a movie about fur? But when I watched it, I was suprised about what it was about, and I loved it, it was very good, even though it was kind of confusing at first, because it moved fast and then slow, plus alot of the scenes were dark or dramatic.
My other favorite actor is of course Johnny Depp. Not only is he good looking, but a wonderful actor. Alot of actors or actresses usually do one kind of acting, either comedy, romance, drama, or thiller. But he was done all kinds. His comedy as Captain Jack Sparrow in 'Pirates of the Caribbean' drama and thiller in 'The Secret Window' and his romance would be several of his Tim Burton movies, which he has starred or lent his voice to. Johnny Depp has also starred in two musicals, he's a very good singer. He was in 'Cry Baby' and alternate version of 'Grease' and 'Sweeny Todd'. Both have him as a main character, someone who is misunderstood, and both of which he proves not to mess with him.
Favorite Actress-Lucille Ball-

My favorite Actress would have to be Lucille Ball, even though she has passed on, her legend continues even to this day. I don't remember how I first came across her acting. But I suppose I first seen her was on her well known show, 'I Love Lucy'. To me, no one will ever beat her legend, they can try, but they will fail. I have done research on her, and I suprised to find out, that many producers and other high class movier makers, didn't think she had the talent to be on tv or movies, well she had proved them wrong. Since I have watched 'I Love Lucy' I have came across seveal more shows she has been in. She has been in another sitcom called 'Lucy' but its very different from her first show. She has also been in several movies, such as 'The Long Long Trailer' 'Yours, Mine, and Ours', and 'Stage Door' which of course are old classical movies, which not many people of my generation have seen, or at least have seen the remakes of the movies. Another intesting fact is Desi Arnaz played her husband in 'I Love Lucy' and 'The Long Long Trailer' but in real life, he was her husband, and they owned a company called DesiLu. Lucille has made history with her comedy and her wit. Her most known feature is her red hair, which is talked about in her movies and shows, several people have wondered if it is nature or dyed, but I don't think anyone truly figured that out.
TheLonelyIsand
I have recently came across this band, and they are very good. If you don't like humor, than you won't like them. They are an American comedy troupe composed of Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone, and Andy Samberg, best known for its musical parodies. They hilarous and they make my day. I first came across them when I watched SNL (Saturday Night Live). Andy Samberg was playing a character named Shy Ronnie who sang with Rihanna. Shortly after that, I saw them on YouTube, and I began to watch several of their videos, one of them I have favorited, which is called 'Boom Box' its funny and distrubing at the same time, considering what they are singing about and the fact that I enjoy the song at the same time. Besides doing Parodies, they have also been on the movie 'Hot Rod'. One of the band members Andy Samberg hosted the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, and to get people to watch it, he promoted fake movies, which he starred in. I would have to say that 'Slaughter Shack' is the best one, because you think its going to be full of action and bloof, until the two men acutally 'fight'. Sadly to say they fight like whimps, by just slapping at each other's hands and shaking each other. But Andy Samberg is known for his comedy skits like this and as well for his band.

Analyzing The Commercial
1. There are several monks, all wearing the same outfit, minus from the child at the beginning. They are also all bald and vary in age. If you look at their foreheads, they have a werid symbol on it, which makes no sense until the end. The setting is in a shrine or temple in china. Most of the monks are either mediatating or training the boy to be a monk.
2. There is background music, throughout the whole commercial, then you hear a knock, door opening. After you hear the door shut, all you hear is the music for several moments, until you suddenly hear and deep hum. After the hum, you hear grunting, shoating and things breaking. After that you hear a bell toll very lightly in the background, then the opening of cans, drinking, and a satisfied sigh. Then you drums rumbling, singaling something is about to happen, a scream eurpts and you hear a crunch, then the music from before comes back on, along with cheering from several voices.
3. 1) The Pepsi company created this message
2) Music in the background, there is a child involved, and alot of karate surrounding the commercial, its similiar the movie, the Karate Kid.
3) People who don't like pepsi, don't like other culture's showing off the drink, don't understand the monks karate, or don't have kids.
4) The point of view is from the child, who wants to be a monk and he goes through several trials to become one of them.
5) This message is being sent because Pepsi wants to sell their product to anyone who will watch the commercial and buy the drink
4. I am not a fan of Pepsi, but this commercial caught my attention. I thought this commerical to be cute and funny. I thought it was cute because of the young boy, leaving home and going through alot of trails to become a monk, and funny because he crushed a Pepsi can with his head, and he became one of them.
My Favorite TV Show

My favorite TV Show would have to be 'Eureka' I have just recently started to watch the show, and finished the all the seasons, and I now am offically hooked. I don't know how to explain the show exactly. If you like Sci-Fi, then you will like this show. It has plently of action, comedy, sci-fi in it. If this town actually existed, I wouldn't mind moving there. I will do my best to explain the show. It's about a town called Eureka, that is very advanced, kids with 4.0 or higher IQs before they reach high school, and odd gagets and gizmos that are used for everyday things, that would be new to for other people outside of Eureka. I love this show because its funny and has alot of sci-fi in it, I am not a Star Trek nerd kind of sci-fi fan, but this is something I can get into and understand. Currently this show is in the middle of its forth season, they will continue the show sometime this summer, and I can't wait for it, I am so excited. Eureka has alot of amazing special effects, I was very impressed by them, I can picky when it comes to special effects, because I tend to find something wrong with them, because I find small things that the show or movie could've done better.
My Favorite Sitcom
My favorite Sitcom would have to be 'I Love Lucy' which is very old and way before my time, and the starting of my parents time. I don't actually remember how I came across the show much. I only remember bits and pieces, but if I remember right, I used to watch it, before I went to work with my dad, when I was little. Back then 'I Love Lucy' was on the program of TVLand, when they only played old westerns and sitcoms. But now the show is on in the mornings on HallMark Channel. I love this show, its so funny, I never stop laughing at Lucy's antics and schemes. For a woman that is said to be not smart, she knows how to get her way in the end or prove her point. I also love the fact, that she makes fun of her Cuban husband's english, when she is annoyed or mad at him. But yet theres another thing I find amusing about the show. Lucy and Ricky are married in the show and they are married to each other in real life! I didn't know that when I was younger, I thought they were just actors, but now I think it is cool that they were married. Sadly everyone on the show has died, which is sad Willam Farley, and Vivan Vance, or Frank and Ethel Mertz, along with Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz were wonderful actors and actresses, in their time, and they would still by wonderful people now days.
My Favorite Type Of Books
Over the years I have began to read, only certain books have caught my attention. I never thought of myself as a romantic kind of girl, when I began to read. But I have proved myself wrong.
My favorite kind of books are romantic comedy with alot of fantasy mixed in. I don't know why they are my favorite, but my guess is because its a type of relationship I want, but will never get. If you don't get what I mean, I will explain it to you. Most books such as Sandra Hill's books, have a sexy, well built, smart, and strong man in it, and the books ends in happily ever after. I have read all of Sandra Hill's books, if you like romantic, funny, and fantasy books, I would reccommed this author. Alot of books I like to read have fantasy in them, most of them have vampires in them, that's because I like vampire books, but others have other supernatural creatures such as fairies, werewolves, ghosts, dragaons, and even time traveling vikings. But if a book doesn't have any of the things I like in a book, there's a big chance I will not read it, that's why I hate reading books from the school library, they don't meet my expectations or anything. When I got to the library at McMillan, I check out several books, perhaps around ten, and read them within a week, because I can't put the book down, that's how much I like them.
